VZ 61 Skorpion .32 ACP Factory Original Chrome Lined Barrel

VZ 61 Skorpion .32 ACP Barrel
SKU: FM-VZ61-BARREL

Genuine military-specification barrels for the legendary VZ61 Škorpion submachine pistol, direct from original Czechoslovak state factory production (Ceská Zbrojovka / Závody Jana Švermy). These are 100% authentic new-old-stock (NOS) barrels manufactured in the 1960s–1970s during full-rate military production for the Czechoslovak People’s Army and export contracts. Never issued, never installed – pristine condition, still in original cosmoline or light preservative oil.

Key Specifications:

  • Caliber: 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP)
  • Length: 115 mm (4.53")
  • Construction: Hammer-forged from high-strength chromium-molybdenum steel
  • Bore: Cold hammer forged with 6-groove right-hand twist rifling
  • Chamber & bore: Hard-chrome lined for extreme durability and corrosion resistance
  • Exterior finish: Deep blued/black oxide (original military finish)
  • Complete with factory extractor cut, gas port (if applicable), and precise chamber dimensions

These barrels represent the absolute pinnacle of Cold-War-era small-arms barrel making: true hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and built to milspec tolerances that far exceed anything available on the commercial market today. Expect exceptional accuracy, legendary longevity (tens of thousands of rounds), and perfect drop-in compatibility with original VZ61, VZ82, and semi-auto civilian clones (SA VZ61, D-Technik, etc.).

Perfect for:

  • Restoring an original military Škorpion to factory-new condition
  • Building the most authentic and durable semi-auto pistol possible
  • Collectors seeking documented factory-original parts

Quantities are strictly limited – once these factory crates are gone, no more will ever be produced to this exact specification. Own a piece of Cold-War history and the finest .32 ACP barrel ever made.

Why Purchase Factory Original Over Cheaper Aftermarket and Used Surplus

Not all military surplus is created equal. Some are heavily used take-offs, and some are pristine examples waiting to be used. Our VZ-61 barrels are the latter, stored and preserved since the date of manufacture. While used options may be tempting based on price, for a spare or for completing a build, the better value is always going to be the virgin part. With due diligence, you may find something used that works, but the hidden costs rear their head very quickly. Here are some things to think about when purchasing a VZ-61 barrel used.

The first and most important is the barrel pin groove. Used VZ-61 barrels would have been headspaced and pinned, creating a groove on the upper portion of the barrel. Chances are very slim that your upper receiver hole will line up with that groove once it’s headspaced. Since it is press-fit, you will have to enlarge the hole and press in a new pin. Depending on where the groove and hole sit, this could create an unsafe situation where the next size up that works for your setup could take too much material from the barrel, or worse, mill into the bore.

Other considerations that would compromise your project in terms of accuracy or longevity are the condition of the barrel: crown deformation, throat erosion, chrome flaking, pitting in the barrel, and loss of lands and grooves. Though rare in a pistol caliber, these issues are still present here. The 32 ACP, or 7.65mm Browning, when used in a military capacity, uses corrosive primers. This, while it helps with ammo reliability over the years, can destroy even the most hardened equipment when not maintained.

With a new surplus VZ-61 barrel, you take the headache out of all these considerations, and you get the benefit of knowing that these, unlike commercial barrels, are built to military standards, which include cold hammer forging and hard chrome lining. Don’t gamble when it comes to your kit builds or replacements. Use the best components in your VZ-61, and it will last a lifetime and more.
